Reflexive Present Tense

-A reflexive verb is an action where the object is the same as the subject.

I wash myself He shaves He interests himself in cars

-In French, these are placed before the verb.

Je – me Tu – te Il/Elle – se Nous – nous Vous – vous Ils/Elles – se

‘Laver’ means ‘to wash’, but ‘se laver’ means to wash oneself.

For example:

Je me lave Tu te laves Il/Elle se lave Nous nous lavons Vous vous lavez Ils/Elles se lavent
