-Combing ‘de’ and ‘à’ with the articles, the form changes

Du = de + le De la = de + la Des = de + les

Au = à + le À + la = À + la Aux = À + les

Examples :

Il va à la plage. He goes to the beach.

Il mange du gâteau. He eats cake.

-To go by someone, the preposition ‘chez’ will be used.

Tu vas chez ton ami? Are you going to your friend’s place? (or by your friend)
