Device power protection
Surge protectors
Have a fuse within them which will melt if too much electricity passes through it guarding anything connected to it
Voltage controllers
give a constant voltage to any connected electrical bias, they acclimate voltage situations over or down to keep them at the correct position.
Uninterruptible Power inventories( UPS).
Give a back-up power source to a device or system when the primary power source fails.
Main characteristics of a processor.
Central Processing Unit( CPU)
Carries out all the computers primary functions
Arithmetic Logic Unit( ALU)
To perform mathematical and logical operations
Control Unit( CU)
Directs the operation of the processor, decides how to respond to instructions
Registers
Type of memory, which is used to snappily accept, store and transfer data and instructions that are being used incontinently by the CPU
Instruction format
Standard machine instruction format that can be directly decrypted and executed by the CPU
Addresses per instruction
A Special purpose register that's used to hold the coming instructions address to be performed during the prosecution of a series of instructions in a program
fixed length vs variable length
Fixed length means the length of all records in the train is the same whereas variable length means the length of the records in the lines vary from each other
Types( data manipulation control)
Carrying out sense operations on data, moving unchanged data, carrying out computation operations on data and testing data.
Sets
An abstract data type that can store certain values without a particular order and no repeated values.
instruction fetch
The Program Counter contains the address of the instruction that has to be coming executed at the launch of the fetch cycle
Decode
retrieved instructions are decrypted in the instruction register
Execute
Instructions being carried out as it specifies the CPU operation needed
Clock speed
Determines how snappily your computer can perform introductory computations and functions
Cache memory
Cache memory is a chip- grounded computer element that makes reacquiring data from the computer's memory more effective. It acts as a temporary storehouse area that the computer's processor can recoup data from fluently. This temporary storehouse area, known as a cache, is more quickly available to the processor than the computer's main memory source
Graphic Processing Unit( GPU) Renders plates and images by performing rapid-fire fine computations.
Parallel processing
handling two or further processors to handle separate corridor of an overall task
Multi-core systems.
A system which has further than two CPUs working together on the same chip
